We our opened the taproom on Thursday night, July 17, 2015, with the help of some very patient Kickstarter friends and family. We welcomed the community and RAGBRAI participants on the 18th when Sioux City hosted that big event.
Every year, we've learned so much and we are so thankful for all of our customers, who are more like our friends. We are also grateful for all of our beertenders who have helped us along the way too.
In the last few years, we've expanded our hours of operation, bottling sizes, distribute to grocery stores, liquor stores and event centers and now we package four-pack cans of beer. We still continue to change our beer list almost weekly but we do bring back local favorites as much as we can.
Since we moved into our current space, we've always been looking at expanding and in January 2020, we took over the property next door to us, 609, putting us that much closer to Jackson Street. In 2021, we opened our 609 space. This gives us an additional 30 person capacity and allows for more intimate parties for our guests. It also bring the spaces together again and expands our brewing area and cooler, so we can make more beer. We are now serving Roberto's Pizza and we are excited to announce the opening of El Comal - the griddle inside Jackson Street Brewing. It's a Mexican quick service kitchen featuring street tacos, burritos & Leo's Franks & fries.
Thanks for helping us achieve our goals of staying small enough to continue to experiment with beer but big enough to be able to package favorites to sell in the taproom and in stores.
Here's to more years!
Cheers!
Dave & Tia
