Welcome!

We opened our taproom on Thursday night, July 17, 2015, with the help of some very patient Kickstarter friends and family. The following day, July 18, we proudly welcomed the community and RAGBRAI riders when Sioux City hosted that big event.

Every year since, we’ve learned so much. We are incredibly thankful for our customers, who have become more like friends, and for the beertenders who have helped us grow along the way.

Over the years, we’ve expanded our hours of operation, increased our bottling options, and grown our distribution to grocery stores, liquor stores, and event centers. We now package four‑pack cans of beer while continuing to rotate our beer list almost weekly—bringing back local favorites as often as we can.

As Jackson Street Brewing grew, so did our space. In January 2020, we took over the property next door at 609, putting us closer to Jackson Street. In 2021, we opened the 609 space, adding capacity for 30 guests and creating a more intimate option for small parties. This expansion also allowed us to reunite the spaces, increase our brewing area and cooler, and make more beer.

In 2023, we partnered with El Comal, the griddle, inside Jackson Street Brewing—a Mexican quick‑service kitchen featuring street tacos, burritos, smash burgers, and fries.

In March 2026, we took our biggest step yet by opening a second location: JSB East, located at 901 5th Street. This new space allows us to serve even more of the Siouxland community while staying true to what matters most—great beer, welcoming spaces, and community connection.

Thank you for helping us stay small enough to keep experimenting and creative, but big enough to share our favorites both in the taproom and beyond.

Here’s to many more years.

Cheers!
Dave & Tia
