Dave & Tia opened Jackson Street Brewing in July of 2015. El Comal - the kitchen endeavor opened in 2023. In March of 2026, we opened a second location at JSB East 901 5th Street, Sioux City, Iowa. JSB EAST features craft beer, specialty drinks and pizza and pub food.

Dave grew up in Minnesota & moved to Sioux City in 2004. He's worked as a meteorologist, science teacher & now owner & brewer at Jackson Street Brewing. Dave likes to go for runs at Stone Park & ride his bike to work. Dave's favorite beers are German lagers, IPA's,
& Barrel Aged Stouts.

Tia grew up in Emerson, Nebraska & moved back to Sioux City in 2005. Tia met Dave while working at KTIV & they married in 2009. They have two boys that keep them busy. Tia left KTIV in 2019 to work at the brewery part time. Tia likes to run, read & spend time with her family. Tia loves easy drinking beers.

Edgar has supported Jackson Street for years and he approached us about food in 2023. He & his sister Beatriz, had a kitchen concept and interest in partnering with us to open El Comal - the griddle. It's a Mexican inspired quick service menu with street tacos & burritos with specialty items like Smash Burgers & Fries. Edgar helps facilit

Edgar helps facilitate the kitchen concept & takes orders when he's not busy coaching soccer.

Rick grew up in New London, MN. He graduated from Morningside College in 2006 and stuck around Sioux City as a graphic designer. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, going to punk rock concerts, drinking/brewing beer and smoking meat. His favorite style beers are IPA’s, and Belgians. You will see Rick as our Trivia Master, most 3rd Thursd

Rikki joined Jackson Street in the spring of 2022. Rikki is a server extraordinaire and she also helps with distribution & canning Jackson Street beers and hosts BINGO every 2nd and 4th Thursday at JSB West.
